Community events

York Festival of Ideas warmly welcomes local residents and families to its events - including these community events which are specifically aimed at a wide-ranging audience including children. Throughout the Festival, come along to York Castle Museum to discover what life was like in York’s Debtors’ Prison in 1777; take part in worm hunts, wild life and wild flower identification at the Museum Gardens; find out what life was like in York Debtors' Prison in 1777, and visit an exhibition in York's restored windmill.
