Learn how to make the products that made York the Chocolate City, visit the Lord Mayor’s kitchen to discover the ingredients and recipes that sweetened York's story as it developed from a Medieval trading city to become the home of the world's most famous chocolate bars.

During this drop-in workshop you will learn why the confectionery trade grew in Yorkshire through its recipes and ingredients, tasting and making York's famous sweets and chocolates as you learn!

You will have a chance to make your own ‘Conversational Lozenges”, originally made by Terry's of York they contained phrases such as "Do you flirt?" or "Can you polka?" written on them.
