Holgate Windmill: Original concepts of development in the windmill industry

Holgate Windmill Preservation Society present an exhibition of inspirational ideas which changed the milling industry and improved peoples' lives.

Holgate Windmill is approximately one and half miles west of York city centre in the Holgate district.  There is ample parking at the kerbside in Acomb Road.   (Please do not park in Windmill Rise as it is a narrow residential street and could easily become congested.)

Number 1 buses go from the city centre (outside the Theatre Royal or opposite the rail station) and stop near the mill on Acomb Road.
