Event details

Fishergate Postern Tower and the city walls near it are unusual in York in having so many Medieval and Tudor masons’ marks visible – 68 of them spotted in the tower so far.

Hear what current expert opinion is on their purpose, before exploring the building to find the marks using our torches and guides. 

Hosted by Friends of York Walls, this workshop is suitable for ages 14+.
