At a series of interactive events supported by Joseph Rowntree Foundation, we will reimagine the future of ‘wealth’. Key areas of focus will include community wealth building, the generation and distribution of wealth, ownership and assets, and an exploration of the ‘hidden wiring’ of economic and financial systems. Building Community Wealth - 11.30am to 1pm

Our interactive session explores the question ‘how can we reimagine our resources and civic assets for public and common benefit, fit for the times we are in?’ Together, we’ll discuss opportunities to support community wealth building and democratic participation to foster more equitable community-led economic approaches in York.

Why We Need to Talk About Wealth - 2pm to 3.30pm

Our interactive session addresses the challenges of wealth inequality faced today, but also provides an opportunity to consider a radical reimagination of ‘wealth’. How can we design more equitable and democratic forms of wealth generation and distribution to support a more just future, free from poverty?
