Local artists, makers, performers and traders collaborate in a street-long celebration of the arts, devised by the York collective Navigators Art. Shops, cafes, pubs, restaurants and other venues in and around the beautiful and historic street of Micklegate play host to a dazzling range of local creatives, transforming the area into York's biggest art gallery.

The event builds on last year’s successful Micklegate Art Trail, expanding to include spoken word and music events alongside displays of work by local artists. Emerging artists as well as established names are well represented, all of them making waves in their respective fields. A launch afternoon with a variety of activities will take place on Saturday 31 May.

And don’t miss a further free art exhibition at City Screen Picturehouse between Sunday 8 June and Friday 4 July during cinema opening hours.

The Micklegate Arts Trail will run from Saturday 31 May until the end of June. Look for the welcome sign (no purchase necessary.)

You may also be interested in the ‘Making Waves Live’ on Saturday 21 June, which will round off the celebrations.
