Prepare to travel back 220 years to the world of Jane Ewbank, the 26-year-old daughter of a York apothecary who enjoyed a rich cultural life in the city.
Join postgraduate researcher Rachel Feldberg of the University of York on a guided walk and investigate the site of the all-night ball, spot 18th-century buildings hidden beneath today's shopfronts and discover Jane's family home - and some very significant neighbours.
Suitable for adults and children aged 8+. (Children should be accompanied by an adult.)

Rachel Feldberg is a theatre director, writer and former Artistic Director of Ilkley Literature Festival. She is currently finishing a PhD at the University of York’s Centre for Eighteenth Century Studies and likes to think she's the oldest postgrad on campus...
