Event details

Prepare to travel back 220 years to the world of Jane Ewbank, the 26-year-old daughter of a York apothecary who enjoyed a rich cultural life in the city.

Join postgraduate researcher Rachel Feldberg of the University of York on a guided walk and investigate the site of the all-night ball, spot 18th-century buildings hidden beneath today's shopfronts and discover Jane's family home - and some very significant neighbours.

Suitable for adults and children aged 8+. (Children should be accompanied by an adult.)

You may also enjoy 'Jane Ewbank’s Music – 1805' on Saturday 31 May.
