James Ratcliffe, Deputy Head at Bootham School, is on a mission to make maths fun and accessible for all. Join him for a whistle-stop tour from 25000 BCE to 1000 CE and find out about the men and women from across the globe who made the modern mathematical world possible.

Explore the ways in which the study of maths developed across the ancient world and how discoveries from that age still impact our lives today.

James Ratcliffe is Deputy Head at Bootham School and passionate about the teaching of mathematics.  As well as teaching Maths at Bootham School, he runs events for the York Independent State School Partnership (ISSP).
