Join Peter Addyman, former Director of York Archaeology, for an illustrated talk exploring the work of the team of men and women who produced the five groundbreaking Royal Commission volumes on the archaeology and Architecture of the City of York from Roman times to the 20th century.

Created in the 1960s and 70s, these formed the groundwork for the City’s Conservation Plan. Without them, much of the city within and close to the Walls might have been destroyed. Discover how we owe our current environment to their energy and foresight.

Presented by the Sheldon Memorial Trust.
