Event details

Calling all home-stitchers. We want your unfinished yarn and fabric projects, as well as your crafting stories. Either bring a project that you are happy to donate or make something during the workshop, where we will use these projects to create a wonderful object that tells the stories of the unsung expertise of home-stitchers.

Your yarning stories will also be woven into this object as we listen to and tell stories of what crafting means to us.

Join Helen Pleasance of York St John University, Katherine Harrison of Leeds Beckett University and Cassie Ogden of Liverpool John Moores University. All three have a research interest in the stories of home textile crafters.

Please note: You are welcome to drop in for a shorter period if you are unable to attend the whole workshop.
