Sensory Stories Café

Tuesday 21 June 2011, 3.30PM to 5.30pm

Have you ever tasted the Victorian gruel which Oliver Twist had to eat? Or heard the story of a duel fought in the middle of York more than two hundred years ago?

Sensory Stories is a project which uses taste, sound, smell, sight and touch to present research to the public. At the Sensory Stories Café we will showcasing some of the activities and projects which have taken place in local schools, community centres, museums and art galleries over the last year.

Refreshments will be available and participants of all ages are welcome.

There will be a dedicated sensory area for children 7+ with activities including painting and storytelling.

Admission information

Admission is by free ticket available from the tickets page. You may also drop in at the event during the day.

Gruel tasting
