Exhibiting Etty

Speaker(s): Professor Mark Hallett, Deparment of History of Art, University of York

Mark Hallett, one of the curators of William Etty: Art and Controversy, will give a short talk on the challenges and opportunities of putting on a major exhibition of the artist's paintings and drawings, and offer some fresh perspectives on Etty's remarkable works. Professor Hallett is the Head of the History of Art Department at the University of York, and has worked on a number of international exhibitions, including Tate Britain's Hogarth display of 2007. 

The talk will be followed by a reception, kindly sponsored by Hotel du Vin, York.
