Discover how the sporting world is harnessing the power of statistics to gain a competitive advantage.

Statisticians Jessica Hargreaves and Ben Powell of the University of York will reveal how professional sport is increasingly using data to help make decisions on everything from tactics and strategy to recruitment.

Join them as they discuss some of their recent work applying and developing analytical tools that provide sporting insights for players, coaches and fans, and learn how statistics can do much more than predict who will win or lose.
