CANCELLED - Raising a Glass to Great British Pubs Victoria Wells, Greg Mulholland and Paul Crossman
Event details
Due to circumstances beyond our control this event is not going ahead. Apologies for any disappointment caused. (Of course you don't need to attend this event to celebrate pubs, but if you had been planning to then we suggest a trip to your local instead!)
Pubs frequently sit at the heart of their local community, providing much more than just a hospitality setting and a place to have a drink. But with two pubs closing a day, what is the future of the sector? Why should we celebrate and support them?
Join Victoria Wells of the University of York and Greg Mulholland and Paul Crossman of the Campaign for Pubs and raise a toast to the economic, social, historical and cultural capital York pubs bring to the area, and how powerful they can be. We’ll be sharing stories and memories of when pubs have been powerful, changed lives, and supported communities.
You are welcome to stay after the talk to continue the conversation.
