Rediscovering Lost Football Grounds and Terraces Tosh Warwick, Alex Gillett and Kevin Tennent
Event details
Join writer Tosh Warwick as he tells the story of the lost stadiums at the heart of ‘The Beautiful Game’ from the Victorian period until the 21st century.
From world-famous, top-flight stadiums to quirky, smaller grounds at the epicentre of the local community, Tosh discusses the UK’s lost football grounds with York’s Soccer-Mad Boffins Alex Gillett and Kevin Tennent of the University of York.
Tosh is the author of The Lost Football Grounds and Terraces of the United Kingdom which he has produced in partnership with the Facebook group of the same name. The aim was to provide a permanent celebration of this important part of the Britain’s social and sporting history.
