Look out for an exciting new mural at Browns on Little Stonegate based on the Power of Place.

Inspired by the community-focused York Festival of Ideas, the Browns mural is a collaborative piece, engaging local residents to explore what York really means to those lucky enough to call it home. This mural aims to highlight the importance of community and belonging to a place in a time of increasing disconnect and polarisation.

The Back Swinegate Mural is part of the growing York Mural Trail; creating new destination points in the city and telling stories that reflect York’s unique history and identity through art. All the BID public art commissions celebrate the York Narrative, a collection of values that resonate with residents, workers, students, and visitors, in shaping the city’s unique identity.
