Rowntree Park (map)
Wheelchair accessible – note in the text below
From buzzing bees to fluttering butterflies, pollinators are the unsung heroes of Rowntree Park. These tiny creatures play a crucial role in pollinating plants, ensuring the reproduction of countless species and the continuation of life as we know it.
Thanks to the Friends of Rowntree Park volunteers who garden specific areas of the park and aim for flood resilient planting that helps biodiversity, the park is full of pollinators. Come along and discover more on a fun and engaging trail. Suitable for all ages, the self-guided trail features the work of local artist Emma Feneley alongside information.
Find a free Pollinators Project Trail map on the Friends of Rowntree Park website during the Festival or pick up a printed copy for £1 at the Rowntree Park Reading Café.
Please note: While most of the trail is wheelchair/pram accessible, it does go off paths and over slightly uneven ground at some points.
