Event details

Join us for an innovative exploration into the intersection of mental health and interactive media at a film screening and workshop offering different perspectives of recovery.

We will be presenting the documentary Stepping Through Interactive, created by five men with lived experience of mental health problems. Through the lens of participatory filmmaking and interactive documentary, you’ll be invited to delve into stories of recovery, resilience, and the power of community. You will also have the chance to take part in a creative paper-based storytelling activity, using images and words to convey your own thoughts on the themes of the film.

Come along and discover how documentary and video poetry can be used to explore emotions and feelings associated with recovery and the role that isolation and community play in it.

2.30pm-3pm Intro and screening part 1

3.30pm-4pm Break, refreshments and creative activity

4pm-4.30pm Screening part 2

4.30pm-onwards Q&A with filmmakers and participants

Please note: Due to the subject matter (recovery from mental health issues) this event is not suitable for children.
