The Price of Debt

14 to 30 June, Collections Studio, York Castle Museum

Discover what life was like in York’s Debtors’ Prison in 1777. Visit an original Debtors’ cell, experience the daily life of a prisoner and discover how much they were expected to pay for the privilege of being locked up!

Opening times: 11am to 4pm daily
Admission: Free, no booking required.
