Join your guide from York Archaeological Trust for this visit to the church of St Peter and St Paul, Scrayingham, identified as recently as 2009 as incorporating fabric built before the end of the 8th century. Your visit to this picturesque location on the banks of the Derwent will be followed by a brief stop in Stamford Bridge, the site of one of the decisive battles of 1066. Outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear recommended.
