Myths in every culture explain our origins, the Earth's creation, gods and monsters, demons, the afterlife and the underworld. Join Christopher Dell, author of Mythology: The Complete Guide to our Imagined Worlds, for an illustrated journey through extraordinary mythical stories from around the world.

Christopher shows how myths share many common patterns, how the human imagination is expressed in all its diversity and asks the question: what do myths tell us about the human condition?

About the speaker

Christopher Dell holds a degree in the History of Art from the Courtauld Institute, London. He has written and edited several books on art and visual culture, including Freemasonry, Mythology, What Makes a Masterpiece, and Monsters: A Bestiary of the Bizarre.
