For this two-night summer residency in the intimacy of the Rymer Auditorium the band is joined by saxophonist Julian Argüelles and drummer Martin France for a programme of jazz from Brazil.
The influential Brazilian composer Moacir Santos is perhaps best known internationally for his ten tightly composed Coisas (‘things’) for large jazz ensemble which will be interpolated into a new extended work by Brazilian pianist and composer Zezo Olímpio specially created as a response to the Santos.
