Speaker biographies

Quorn

Tim Finnigan is currently Technical Director for Quorn Foods – covering both the Quorn and Cauldron brands across 14 countries. He is a PhD graduate of the Food and Biosciences faculty of the University of Reading, England and has held innovation roles in government food research, General Foods, APV, RHM, Zeneca and Premier Foods. Tim has been instrumental in the product and technology innovation programs that have helped to establish Quorn as the world’s leading meat free brand.

Mike Lean holds the Chair of Human Nutrition at the University of Glasgow and Consultant Physician at Glasgow Royal Infirmary. He trained in medicine at the University of Cambridge and St Bartholomew’s Hospital specialising in general medicine, diabetes and endocrinology. He is a leading authority and researcher on diabetes, obesity and human nutrition, and dissemination of science through frequent appearances on radio, TV and newspapers.
