Whilst Beryl Bainbridge is extremely well known and respected as a writer – she is hardly known as a painter. The author Psiche Hughes will talk of Beryl’s painting, and how it interlinked with her writing and her life. She will draw upon her very close friendship with Beryl Bainbridge for over 35 years.
Italian-born Psiche Hughes is a former lecturer in Latin American and comparative literature at the University of London. She has published several translations of prose and poetry.
