Event details

Scenes from Elizabeth Gaskell’s "North and South" and contemporary times, read by local actors, will stimulate a discussion a discussion lead by Helen Shay which will look particularly at the issues which may have affected, and continue to affect, women.

Speaker biography

Helen Shay is a writer, CLL Creative Writer Tutor, member of the Society of Authors and the Gaskell Society, who has published non-fiction, short prose and poetry, and also staged/produced drama. She has an MA (with distinction awarded) in creative writing.
