Come along to a workshop based on Puffin Peter, shortlisted in the Kate Greenaway Medal for "outstanding illustration in a children's book". Hear some stories from author and illustrator Petr Horacek and then have a go at creating your very own little picture book about a puffin! Suitable for 4 to 7 year olds.

Speaker biography

Petr Horacek was born in the Czech Republic in 1967. He studied design at the High School of Applied Arts in Prague and then worked as a graphic designer in an advertising agency. In 1988 he went to the Academy of Fine Art where he studied painting for six years and gained a Masters Degree.

Petr moved to England in 1995. He writes and illustrates books for children. His books are translated into many languages. He has won awards for his books in Britain, USA and Holland.
