YAT Project Director, Peter Connolly, presents an illustrated talk on the Hungate dig, the largest excavation in the history of York, and the archaeological evidence that it provided for the extent and layout of the Viking city of Jorvik.

Discover the contribution made by the Vikings to the growth and organisation of the city of York, and learn how the Vikings left a legacy that outlasted their impact as raiders and destroyers.
