Where did the Roman gladiators fight in York? It’s a question that children, students, archaeologists, academics and almost every curious person in York and beyond asks. Join us for an event akin to X-factor meets Time Team as we try to find out more. Competing teams will dig deep in their knowledge of the city to come up with some genius ideas of where York’s amphitheatre might lie. You decide who is the most convincing!

At the end of the evening the audience vote for the winning team. The victorious team then have an opportunity to research and test out their ideas before reporting back at next year’s York Festival of Ideas.

Schools, community and youth groups have also been asked to capture their ideas on a poster. Come along and see these at the event.
