Medieval Coins
Imagine you're making a coin for a medieval king in Northumbria. What would you put on it and how would you design one that is smaller than a 5p? Archaeologist Lucy Moore provides some inspiration.
What you will need:
- Paper
- 5p coin (optional)
- A small plate
- A pencil
- A ruler
- A small piece of Blu Tak
- Tin foil
- Scissors
Health and Safety:
- Young children should be supervised when using scissors
- Small items (such as the 5p coin) may be a choking risk for young children
- Tin foil may have sharp edges when torn
