City of York Hockey Club is the largest hockey club in the north. With a vibrant junior section (starting from age 5) and a senior section catering for all ages, genders and abilities, we love playing this brilliant, inclusive sport.

City of York Hockey Club is bringing hockey into lockdown! We have donned our hockey gear (some more conventional than others) and grabbed whatever sticks and balls we can find to give you a short flavour of hockey. We hope you enjoy our video and that next year, you will come and join us in person, so we can have a knock about and a chat!

Hockey is a brilliant, inclusive sport where all genders, ages and people of all shapes and sizes can play together.  It is centred around having fun while also promoting exercise, physical health, mental well-being, fundamental movement skills, decision-making, teamwork, respect and communication.

If you are interested in joining the club, we welcome all ages and abilities – whether complete beginner or hockey ace, competitive or social! Our hockey starts from our Hockey Heroes programme all the way to our veterans teams.
