Event details

Celebrate the 252nd birthday of Holgate Windmill by exploring this exhibition created by archivist Anna Cook and her team.

Discover the history and recent restoration of the oldest five-sailed mill in the country. Enjoy talking to the trained guides and millers, browse the shop for stone-ground wheat, spelt flours and mill merchandise, and, if you are feeling energetic, climb the ladders to the top to experience the mill in action.

No booking required - please pay at the door.

Entrance to the exhibition is included in the standard mill entrance charge (£3 for adults, £1 for children aged 5-18 years, free for HWPS members).

Please do not park in Windmill Rise as it is a narrow residential street and Holgate Windmill does not want to cause disruption to their neighbours. The sat nav postcode for parking is YO24 4AE.
