Event details

Elgar’s The Dream of Gerontius is a massive, awe-inspiring and uplifting work, touching on themes of mortality and hope.

For this performance, York Musical Society (YMS) is joined by its partner choir from Münster, York’s twin city in Germany. YMS and Philharmonischer Chor Münster have performed together many times, in both cities, since the first shared event in 1993.

The combined choir, soloists and orchestra will be conducted by David Pipe.
