Human wellbeing and prosperity are entirely dependent on the health of nature. Mumta Ito is rewriting the rules with the UK Nature’s Rights Bill - a bold legal framework that puts nature’s health first, ensuring our laws and economy work within the planet's limits, not against them.

About the speaker

Mumta Ito is the Founder of the charity Nature’s Rights. A former structured finance lawyer, Mumta is one of Europe's leading experts in the Rights of Nature and author of the UK Nature's Rights Bill. She is a UN Harmony with Nature expert and heralded as one of 15 trailblazing ‘Warrior Lawyers’. She pioneered the Integrated Rights Framework (IRF) - a practical legal architecture for a regenerative society - endorsed by the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) and gaining traction across policy and practice. She has inspired audiences worldwide - from TEDx and Dubai World Expo to European Green Week and The Ocean Race Summits - empowering people to join the movement for a thriving future.
