Event details

York’s rivers have shaped the city for centuries. Join a curated boat journey introducing the York rivers trail.  Discover stories of nature, heritage and adaptation, see how upstream and downstream places connect, and how flood resilience and natural flood management can support people, wildlife and place. Share your feedback before our summer 2026 launch. 

  • 10am – meet at King’s Staith Landing
  • 10.15am - boarding
  • 10.30am - set sail
  • 11.15am – disembark at King’s Staith, optional walking or wheeling tour after disembarkment until 12.30pm.

Please dress appropriately for an outdoor experience, including changeable weather. To ensure the comfort and well-being of all passengers, smoking and vaping are not permitted.

 

Accessibility

Wheelchair access is available on the boat and at King’s Staith Landing.

This event is brought to you by Ousewem, a government funded flood resilience project led by City of York Council, and City Cruises.
