Sparks, a series of events aimed to spark children’s imagination. Sparks is supported by Shepherds.

At the turn of the 20th century, a new modern world was forming. Einstein was writing his theory of relativity. Women were fighting for the vote. Empires crumbled, dictatorships fell and the first total war decimated landscapes and populations. This family friendly storytelling event, written and performed by student volunteers from the University of York will bring to life these stories.

The stories will be performed at regular intervals throughout the day.

This event is accredited as an activity through York Children’s University (CU). York CU promotes participation in fun, quality and innovative experiences outside of the school day. Children aged 5-14 with a CU passport can gain one sticker for this event.
