Fancy trying something new? 

Discover the Brazilian martial art of Capoeira with musician, percussionist and workshop leader Claudio Kron in this fun-packed introductory session guaranteed to keep you on your toes! 

This session (2pm to 3.30pm) is suitable for children aged 7 upwards - and their families, of course! Session 1 (10.30am to 12 noon) is suitable for adults and teenagers. You can book tickets for Session 1 (adults and teens) here.

The National Centre for Early Music (NCEM) is the national advocate of early music in England and a centre of excellence for music-making in the City of York. About the performer

Claudio Kron is a Brazilian musician, percussionist, composer and workshop leader who has lived in West Yorkshire for many years. Resident in the UK since 1996. He has created and coordinated various projects promoting Brazilian culture in the UK and abroad. His interests include Capoeira, Afro-Brazilian culture, graphic design, film, video making, editing, dance, building and 3D Sculptures, life-living and learning. He enjoys working with people of all ages and abilities.
