How can we make the past playable?

Enjoy an immersive experience in a historical mystery by playing a prototype online game, The Death of Walahfrid. Riddle the clues and shed light on the murky intertwining of politics, theology, and a suspected murder in ninth-century Europe.

As well as playing the game, you are also invited to help its creators, Robert Pecksmith and Lauren Stokeld, to develop it further. You can give feedback at any time during the Festival or at a live event on Saturday 12 June. Your views on the game experience will help shape the final version which will be released to the public.

You can find a link to The Death of Walahfrid throughout the Festival here.

Why not join game designers Robert Pecksmith and Lauren Stokeld live at The Death of Walahfrid: Telling history through game on Saturday 12 June?
