The BAFTA Qualifying Aesthetica Short Film Festival presents a selection of outstanding films from the 2016 edition. The event features the 2015 People’s Choice winner Acoustic Kitty followed by a Q&A with director Jennifer Sheridan and producer Adam Shakinovsky.
Other films will include Stephen Parker’s drama Dust and Resin, the 2016 People’s Choice Winner, chosen for its perception-altering narrative; Daina O Pusic’s comedy Rhonna and Donna, winner of the newly established Northern Film School Award for Best Screenplay, a dynamic tale of conflict and resolution; Mr Madila directed by Rory Waudby-Tolley, featuring a series of conversations between the filmmaker and a gifted spiritual healer, exploring the fabric of the universe through animation; and Elders, a documentary by Glen Milner, which tells the story of Karim and Katari Chand who, after leaving India for the industrial north of England in the 1960s, never imagined they would have longest marriage in the world!
