Below you will find a list of all the activities as well as links to further information. 

There's also a list of everything included in the physical bags - why not set your own creative project for the students using these resources?  

The Festival includes lots of other Fun for Families, with online and in-person events, Ask the Expert forums, and tours of York - to name but a few! Have a look at what's on offer

Arts Award Discover

A stamped, addressed envelope and instructions on how to gain the Arts Award Discover: Arts Award pdf 1 (PDF , 608kb) and a form to fill in with the activities undertaken: Arts Award pdf 2 (PDF , 24kb) 

Note that certificates will be sent out for free to any child applying from York (not just those who received the bags) before the end of June.

Face painting activity A sheet to get children to create a facepaint design or temporary tatooe: Fantastic Face Painting pdf (PDF , 1,702kb) Note that there are no face paints included in the bag.    
Make an origami story video Origami paper and simple instructions to make a cat and dog character.

Short videos with stories behind the tradition of origami and demonstrations of lots of origami figures are available here.

Children are also encouraged to create an origami story video, which can be uploaded onto the website to feature in an online gallery.

Meet the Vikings A Viking art colouring sheet: Viking Colouring Sheet pdf (PDF , 258kb)

Help Shape YoCo York Central Co-Owned Neighbourhood (YoCo for short) is running an online workshop to create a community space in the Leeman Road area of York.  A postcard, with a link to get involved, is included: Help Shape YoCo (PDF , 788kb)

Kibo Cranes York Mister invites children to make origami cranes which will be displayed in an exhibition this summer: York Minster Cranes Pack pdf (PDF , 1,719kb)  All children are encouraged to send in a crane for the exhibition by 28 June 2021.

Rugby League World Cup York is hosting the 2021 Rugby League World Cup. This colouring book has pages for each country taking part: Rugby League World Cup Colouring Book pdf (PDF , 6,143kb) The colouring pages include landmarks, animals and other images associated with each country.   
The Stuff Stars Are Made Of The story book 'The Stuff Stars Are Made Of' is included together with a colouring sheet showing the lifecycle of a star: Colour your own lifecycle of a star pdf (PDF , 141kb)
